House Points

At Stourport Primary, we are all really proud to be part of our House team.  Each house is named after a local hill or hill range that surround our school.

All of the children from Reception through to Year 6, and the staff are assigned their house when they start the school. Our Houses are an important part of our community at Stourport Primary and support the children to develop a strong sense of belonging, develop their self-esteem with positive role models as part of a mixed-age team and work together to achieve their collective goals. The form a focus of school life in many ways such as academic, social, sporting, leadership and responsibilities, and promotes intrinsically positive behaviours.

Children are awarded House Points for demonstrating our values of Kindness, Honesty, Respect and Teamwork above and beyond what is expected of them.  For each House Point, children are awarded two marbles – one for their house, and one for the class.  The winning house each half term, will win the prize they have voted for – you can can find out what each house is currently working towards in the slideshow above.  Class marbles are placed into their class jar, and as soon as this is full, they have the reward the class has voted for.

House Captains

The House Captains are role models for the children in their house and have volunteered to help the children in their House to organise and collect House Points.  Each house has two captains from Year 5 or 6 who are elected by the children. They play an active role in championing their House teams through planning events and competitions.
